OUR MANTRA AT SUPERGA BEAUTY: OFFERING INNOVATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS TO BRANDS
In response to the ecological urgency and increased pressure on resources, the beauty industry is convinced of the need to reduce the environmental footprint of its products. For several months, the teams at Superga Beauty, a beauty supplier and subsidiary of the Superga Invest Group, have been working on eco-design to decrease carbon emissions. Environmentally friendly actions are firmly embedded in the company’s policy.
“After launching a 0 plastic collection, we aim to provide our customers with a turnkey zero carbon offer, incorporating environmental and social value creation. We rely on a 100% transparent and controlled method. Indeed, guiding our customers in their environmental approach is our priority. Let’s change course together towards a regenerative economy,” emphasizes Leslie Breau Meniger, President of Superga Beauty.
WHAT IS ZERO CARBON?
The carbon footprint of a product represents the quantity of greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted by it from its manufacture to its disposal. In essence, all production results in carbon emissions. To achieve ZERO CARBON, the emissions must be balanced by reducing an equivalent volume of greenhouse gases elsewhere on the planet. This is the principle of compensation.
In 2020, Superga Beauty first intensified its CSR approach through GOGREEN, the first eco-design tool dedicated to the promotion and gift industry. Developed for brands, this exclusive tool, created for Superga Beauty by the QUANTIS Group, an expert in environmental strategy, assesses the carbon footprint and water consumption of each product manufacturing campaign (kits, bags, accessories), over its entire lifecycle. More than 200 materials, 40 transformation processes, and 20 decoration processes have been documented.
TODAY, A UNIQUE AND RELIABLE METHOD FOR AN EXCLUSIVE ZERO CARBON COLLECTION
Superga Beauty has crafted a zero carbon luggage collection, a major innovation to support its clients in the low-carbon transition. With a unique method that reliably measures, minimizes, and compensates for the product lifecycle, Superga Beauty goes further and unveils, in June 2021, a special collection: CELLULOSE FIBER.

Our teams haveworked on every stage of the lifecycle to minimize the carbon footprint of the articles, prioritizing:
- Material: After analyzing over 200 materials, cellulose emerges as the least energy-consuming
- Decoration: No zips, no metal, simple lamination, and water-based printing.
- Packaging: No individual polybag, replaced by glassine paper.
- Transport: Choice for train transport, even more environmentally friendly than the boat.
- End of Life: Handles are easily separable to facilitate material recycling.
Thanks to all this research, this exclusive collection shows a 35% reduction in carbon impact. What could not be reduced has been fully compensated. As part of this collection, Superga Beauty compensates for the induced carbon emissions by participating in a project proposed by ClimateSeed*: the production of electricity from renewable energy sources in Bangladesh.
